Addiction can affect anyone, and it often shows up in ways that feel confusing or out of control This session explores how addiction impacts the brain and what it takes to support healing and positive change. Participants will learn how cravings, habits, and behaviours are shaped by brain chemistry, past experiences, and unmet needs, using a person-centered approach that goes beyond relying on “willpower.” The session provides insights into the science of addiction while highlighting holistic strategies for recovery and well-being. Whether supporting others or exploring their own journey, participants will gain a deeper understanding of addiction and practical tools to support more helpful choices and lasting change.
