Peer support is emerging as a vital component in a mental health system. The experience of connecting with a person with similar experiences is described by many individuals with mental health experiences as the most impactful contributing factor to their recovery. This course will share how peer support works, describe the competencies of peer support, and explore how to incorporate peer support in a program or organization.
