This 2-session online course (1.5 hours per session) will define what is meant by post-traumatic stress, identify types of trauma and common risk factors, and will outline the various signs and symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Various treatment and self-help options for PTSD will also be presented.

This course is offered as part of our HOPE Learning Centre’s Recovery College program. The Learning Centre is open to all adult participants who wish to gain information and learn new skills to support their own mental health and well-being recovery journey. Participation in these classes also provides the opportunity to connect and share with others in a mutually beneficial peer support environment.
