This CRAFT program is a three-session skills-based program (in-person only) for families and loved ones of people who struggle with substance use. THIS IS NOT AN ADDICTION RECOVERY COURSE. CRAFT teaches family members practical strategies to motivate change both in themselves and their significant other. Topics covered include:
- Developing an understanding of what leads to substance use
- Learning behavior and communication skills to use, even when things aren’t going well
- Taking a time out from positive reinforcement when your loved one is using
- Allowing natural and negative consequences to occur
- Reinforcing the things that your loved one enjoys doing that have nothing to do with substance use
Dates: Thursdays, Sept. 5, 12, and 19
Time: 1:00 – 4:00 pm
