The Push-Up Challenge is back!
We're pushing for better mental health in 2025. Will you join us?

From February 11 to 28, 2025, join thousands of Canadians to complete 2,000 push-ups (or an alternative exercise): one for each life lost to suicide every day around the world.
The Push-Up Challenge raises mental health awareness and reduces stigma around mental illness. It’s a great opportunity for individuals, friends, families and workplace teams to:
- Get moving
- Learn about mental health
- Make a difference… together!
It’s FREE to sign up, and you can help save lives with every push.
Meet our National Team Captain, Alicia Mccarvell!

As a Halifax-based content creator actively sharing honest and real content about self-love, body positivity and mental health, Alicia Mccarvell (@aliciamccarvell) is joining us to inspire you along the way and help #PushforBetter Mental Health.
Registration is OPEN
It’s never too early to get started. There are two ways to get involved:
Register as an individual, create a team or join your friends. Once you’ve registered, you can share your page and challenge others to join the push with you!
Donate to an individual, team, or community, or choose to donate directly to CMHA. Your support helps us make a real difference for people across Canada.
The Push-Up Challenge is for everyone
You don’t have to do push-ups to participate! Choose an alternative exercise instead, including: air squats, resistance band pulls, air boxing, triceps dips, or sit-ups. For more ideas, check out these exercise guides:
Challenge yourself to #PushforBetter February 11 to 28, 2025.
Your mind and body will thank you!
