Leaders of organizations play a significant role in protecting the psychological health and safety of their workforce. Research shows that when leaders lead with compassion and empathy, recognize psychological risks, and actively support their teams, workers are less likely to develop mental health conditions and are more likely to thrive, be engaged and successful.

Key objectives include the leader’s role in enhancing psychological safety, recognizing and responding to early signs of stress in teams, applying proven strategies for stress management, establishing supportive structures including peer support, and developing personal and team stress management plans. A range of tips, tools and resources will be shared to support leaders in building a resilient workforce for the future.
