This course builds on the innovative toolkit “Towards Positive Change to Promote Mental Health and Well-being: A Toolkit for Black Canadians”, developed through the lived experiences and insights of African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) community members. Grounded in cultural knowledge and collective resilience, the toolkit aims to raise awareness about mental illness, mental health, and overall well-being within communities that have historically faced systemic barriers to care. The course offers a culturally affirming space to explore mental health, challenge stigma and promote sustainable wellness. It is a call to action to strengthen support systems and foster long-term mental health resilience. This course invites participants to explore mental health through a lens shaped by lived experience, community strength, and cultural insight.
