Hoarding is characterized by the acquisition of, and difficulty discarding, possessions even when they seem to have little or no value. Hoarding behaviours and the experience of hoarding disorder are complex and deeply personal, often affecting daily life, relationships and well-being. This course explores the signs and symptoms of hoarding disorder, provides an overview of evidence-based treatment options and offers guidance on how to give compassionate support to someone struggling with hoarding. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges involved and learn strategies to approach the topic with empathy and awareness.
