Accessibility Plan & Customer Service Policy: CMHA Across Manitoba now has a formal Accessibility Plan and Customer Service Policy, both available on our website, outlining our commitment to meeting and exceeding AMA standards.
Accessible Formats: Internal resources are being updated into alternative formats, and presentations have been redesigned to ensure content is accessible to all.
Information Access: Key mental health resources have been translated into American Sign Language (ASL) and are now available on our website.
Cultural & Linguistic Access: Cultural resources have been translated into on-demand languages to better serve diverse communities.
Built Environment: Braille signage has been installed at 930 Portage Avenue, complementing accessibility features already in place across several locations.
Communication Access: Our main office at 930 Portage Avenue now features a Phonak Soundfield system to ensure individuals who are hard of hearing can fully participate in in-person courses.
“This is a pivotal moment in our ongoing journey to strengthen mental health in Manitoba,” said Marion Cooper, President and Lead Executive of CMHA’s National Office. “Accessibility is central to that mission. These upgrades reflect our commitment to breaking down barriers so every person can access mental health supports with dignity and ease.”
