As part of the charity component\, each school participat es in an event called Chillin' for Charity\, where they focus their effort s on fundraising and increasing awareness for a particular cause.\n\nThis year\, the University of Winnipeg's JDC West team has partnered with the C anadian Mental Health Association and is hosting their Chillin' for Charit y event this October 31st. Each member of their 50-person team will jump i nto a pool of ice water to raise awareness and funds in support of our org anization. This is a very special cause for the them\, after losing a team mate earlier this year.
